Buyer Feature: Austin, TX to Portland, OR

These awesome buyers came to me as a referral from a past client. Their family had a unique opportunity to tour several major cities across the United States last year. They visited Chicago, Seattle, Denver, Philadelphia, and Portland. It came down to Chicago and Portland, and ultimately, Portland stole their hearts!

Relocating from Austin, TX to Portland, OR, my buyers were ready to trade heat and highways for tree-lined streets, vibrant neighborhoods, and a more connected, walkable lifestyle. Together, we found a fantastic home (with a great ADU) for them in the Hosford-Abernathy neighborhood—just steps from the energy of Clinton-Division. With a strong focus on Portland relocation, I guided them through every detail of the home-buying process, from navigating the competitive market to understanding the nuances of purchasing in the Portland metro and tri-county area. (Crawl spaces, rain, water, moss, etc.) Their new neighborhood offers exactly what they envisioned: easy access to some of Portland’s best dining, local coffee shops, parks, and a great sense of community.

As relocation clients, they did their research and then, I’m grateful to say, they leaned on my expertise not just as a real estate broker, but as a local resource for all things Portland, Oregon. From recommending must-try restaurants, making suggestions regarding kid-related activities and venues, to preparing for the seasonal shift to the Pacific Northwest’s cooler, rainier climate, I appreciate their trust in helping them feel confident and excited about their move.

Soon, they’ll be settled into their new home, just in time for the gorgeous Portland spring that is currently revealing itself. Helping clients relocate to Portland and successfully purchase homes across the tri-county area is one of my specialties, and it’s always rewarding to see them step into the Portland lifestyle.
